Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda, known globally for his hit films, was involved in a car accident in the Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday.
According to police sources, the star was traveling from Puttaparthi to Hyderabad around 3 p.m. when a vehicle ahead suddenly turned right, causing a collision.
Following the incident, Vijay Deverakonda took to X (formerly Twitter) to assure fans that he was safe.
He wrote that although his car was struck, everyone is unharmed — adding, “There’s just a slight headache, don’t pay attention to the news.”
Reports from Indian media also claim that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are officially engaged.
While the couple has not shared engagement photos or issued an official statement, sources say a private ceremony was held on October 3 at Vijay’s home, attended only by family.
Media outlets further suggest the couple might tie the knot next February.
Earlier this year, Rashmika Mandanna, rumored to be dating Vijay after their films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, hinted at being in a relationship without revealing a name.
She said, “My happy place is home — it grounds me and reminds me that success is temporary, but home is eternal.”
