Shilpa Shetty & Raj Kundra Prohibited From Departing India in Fraud Case.

A ‘lookout notice’ has been released for Raj Kundra, spouse of famous Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, in a ₹60 crore fraud matter.

Media reports indicate that complainant Deepak Kothari accused the couple of defrauding him of Rs 60 crore, prompting the Mumbai Police to issue a lookout notice.

The individual making the complaint claimed that this case of fraud concerns Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s
now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Private Limited.

The officer informed the media that Deepak Kothari claimed in the case that the suspect initially requested a loan and subsequently misled him with monthly returns by presenting investments. The pair obtained funds for business capital from 2015 to 2023, totaling 8 years, but utilized it for personal expenditures.

The complainant stated that Shilpa Shetty stepped down as a director from the company in 2016, following which the company declared bankruptcy.

In the case initiated by the Economic Affairs Wing of Mumbai Police, a lookout circular was sent to immigration
officials to stop the couple being investigated from exiting the country.

The lawyer for Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty dismissed the accusation, stating that there is no criminal element
involved; it concerns an old transaction and is entirely a civil matter.
