PAKISTAN : The 1500th Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is being observed throughout Pakistan today (Saturday) with profound religious respect, dedication, and gravitas.

The day started with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in the provincial capitals, commemorating the holy birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Unique prayers were made after Fajr for the solidarity of the Muslim Ummah and for the peace, advancement, and prosperity of PakistanThe day has been announced as a nationwide public holiday.

Throughout the nation, roads, streets, mosques, houses, and structures have been exquisitely adorned with vibrant lights, flags, and banners to celebrate the holy event.

Milad celebrations are taking place in cities and towns, with religious scholars emphasizing different facets of the life, character, and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Sallalaho Alyhe Wassalam), urging Muslims to adhere to his Sunnah and promote principles of justice, mercy, compassion, and peace.

Mahafil-e-Milad are being organized in both small and large cities to emphasize the life and teachings of the final prophet.

President Asif Ali Zardari extended his greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on this sacred occasion, encouraging all individuals to harmonize their personal and communal lives with the principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a statement on this fortunate occasion, he remarked, “Along with this 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, the happiness of celebrating the 1500th anniversary of the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) conveys to us the importance of applying the universal principles of justice, kindness, fraternity, and peace as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in our societal, political, and cultural frameworks.”

He stated, “Additionally, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has proclaimed this year as a commemorative year for the 1500th anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birth, uniting the whole nation with this message of compassion.”

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to reaffirm its dedication to constructing Pakistan according to the noble principles of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH–Life of the Prophet), highlighting the importance of unity, justice, compassion, and peace.

In his sincere message for the occasion, the prime minister stated that the holy birth of the Prophet (PBUH) almost 1500 years ago in the revered land of Makkah brought light to the world, turning darkness into brightness and establishing new avenues of justice, compassion, fairness, and togetherness for all people.
