Diljit Dosanjh Defends ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ Amid Controversy.

Diljit Dosanjh aims to ensure that his voice is acknowledged. In a recent video shared on X, the singer criticized the hypocrisy of holding Indo-Pak cricket matches after his film Sardaar Ji 3 was barred from release in India for featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.

Justification for Casting Hania Aamir

Defending his choice, Diljit said:

“I filmed my movie in February while the matches were occurring. Following that, the Pahalgam terror strike occurred. At that time, and even currently, we have consistently prayed for the terrorists to face severe consequences. The distinction is that a game is taking place following the assault.”

Sikh Community Stands Patriotic

Addressing the media’s criticism, Diljit reminded the audience that the Sikh community is always devoted to the nation.
He said, “The national media made every effort to depict me as anti-national. However, Punjabis and the Sikh community could never oppose the nation.”

Release Postponed in India

The decision to block Sardaar Ji 3 in India followed political tensions after the Pahalgam terror attack in April. While the movie had a global release, it did not premiere in Indian cinemas, resulting in heavy financial losses for the production company.
