China companies prohibited From Acquiring Nvidia Chips.

BEIJING: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated on Wednesday that the US and Beijing “have broader issues to resolve” following reports that China’s internet regulator instructed leading tech companies to stop buying AI chips from the American firm and to cancel current orders.

Repeated US governments have limited China’s access to high-end chips, leading Beijing to urge local companies to distance themselves from US suppliers, impacting major players like Nvidia.

The report arrives shortly after Beijing charged the firm with breaching its anti-monopoly legislation, signaling another escalation in the trade conflict with Washington, as US officials expressed national security worries during trade discussions with China in Madrid this week.

The Cyberspace Administration of China has instructed companies such as ByteDance and Alibaba to halt their testing and orders of the RTX Pro 6000D, reported the Financial Times on Wednesday, referencing three individuals familiar with the situation.
