SUKKUR: The control room at Sukkur Barrage reported on Thursday that the water level at Guddu Barrage is anticipated to hit 6,00,000 cusecs.
“An unusually severe flood is predicted in Sutlej River tomorrow,” the control room reported today.
Officials have reported that the water level has fallen due to leaks and the dispersion of the water flow.
“The flood flow is expected to arrive at Punjnad Headworks two days later than originally predicted, and the water from Punjnad will flow into Guddu Barrage on September 08,” the statement said.
The Sukkur control room reports that the water level is expected to rise to 6,00,000 cusecs at the Guddu Barrage.
Currently, the inflow and outflow of water at Guddu stand at 3,37,000 and 3,11,000 cusecs, respectively.
The Indus River’s inflow and outflow at Sukkur Barrage are 3,30,000 and 2,75,000 cusecs, respectively.
The current water flow of the Sutlej River at Ganda Singh Wala is 3,35,000 cusecs, with a flow of 1,35,000 cusecs at Sulemanki Headworks and 95,000 cusecs at Head Islam.
The water discharge at Punjnad Headworks has reached 1,69,000 cusecs.
The water discharge in the Ravi River has reached 82,000 cusecs at Jassar, 1,00,000 cusecs at Shahdara, 1,21,000 cusecs at Balloki Headworks, and 1,39,000 cusecs at Sidhnai Headworks.
