New Delhi: India announced on Thursday that it will carefully analyze the Defence Agreement made between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, committing to safeguard its national interests.
The declaration comes after the endorsement of a “Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement” by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The agreement states that “any act of aggression against either nation shall be.”
In response to media questions, Randhir Jaiswal, the Official Spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, stated that India will assess the consequences of this development for its national security and for both regional and global stability.
“Reports indicate that a strategic mutual defense agreement has been signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan,” Jaiswal stated. “The Indian Government recognized that this progress, which formalizes a longstanding agreement between the two nations, had been under review.”
The Indian Government is dedicated to safeguarding India’s national interests and guaranteeing thorough national security across all areas, he stated.
Similarly, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, on Thursday emphasized the robust partnership between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, stating that the two countries stand as a single united front against any aggressor.
On social media platform X, Prince Khalid bin Salman remarked: “KSA and Pakistan. A unified stance against any adversary. “Forever and always.”
