PTI Plans Massive Protest Demanding Freedom, Fair Judiciary, and Political Transparency In a powerful political move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has called on the public to join a massive protest in Peshawar on September 27, declaring it a fight for the country’s “genuine liberty.” PTI leadership says the rally will be a turning point in their campaign to secure the release of their imprisoned leader.
Protest for Press Freedom and National Sovereignty.
The announcement was relayed by Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, outside Adiala Jail on Monday:
“The media’s expression has been stifled. This demonstration is for the country’s liberty. The party has been directed to ensure its success.”
She also conveyed Imran Khan’s strong stance on international alliances:
“The pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is highly important. Pakistan should maintain strong global connections. Safeguarding the sacred mosques is a privilege.”
Legal Battles and Toshakhana Case Developments.
Aleema Khan provided updates on the Toshakhana case, stating that one witness had been discredited, and that the case may conclude soon due to fabricated evidence:
“One witness has been proven false. The previous military secretary confirmed all documents were valid. The case might wrap up in the next couple of hearings.”
She expressed hope for the release of both Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Allegations of Electoral Rigging and Judicial Compromise.
Quoting Imran Khan, Aleema reiterated claims that the 2024 elections were manipulated:
“Our votes were taken and handed to criminals. Convicted individuals now rule the nation. Morality has been obscured in Pakistan. The judiciary has been completely subdued by the 26th Amendment.”
Despite this, Khan praised judges who upheld the law, calling them “heroes of the nation.”
He has instructed PTI leaders to avoid any engagement with the military establishment, stating:
“For three years we sought dialogue, yet our party faced increased suppression. Anyone who wants to talk should come to jail.”
PTI Plans Massive Rally in Peshawar.
PTI leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has declared that the upcoming Peshawar rally is not only a protest but a milestone in their “movement for genuine liberty.”
A high-level planning session chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur finalized the details. The rally will take place at:
- 📍 Ring Road Motorway Chowk, Peshawar
- 🕓 September 27 | 4:00 PM
Faraz Mughal, spokesperson for the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the rally’s focal person.
“We stand united for Imran Khan’s freedom. This rally will mark a historic moment,” said CM Gandapur.
“No force can hinder a nation’s journey to liberty when it stands together.”
