Targeting Hamas Leaders Shows Israel is Not Interested in Ending The War: Turkey

Türkiye has condemned the Israeli attack in Qatar, stating that Israel’s actions demonstrate a clear lack of interest in reaching any agreement to end the war.

In a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was said that targeting the Hamas negotiation delegation during ongoing ceasefire talks is a sign that Israel’s goal is not to achieve peace, but to prolong the war.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry further stated that this situation clearly proves that Israel has adopted an expansionist policy in the region and is using terrorism as a tool of state policy.

It is worth noting that earlier today, the Israeli military targeted the office of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

According to Hamas sources, the attack was carried out via an airstrike while a meeting of several Hamas leaders was underway.

The same sources revealed that the meeting was focused on discussing the ceasefire proposal put forward by the U.S. President.

According to Arab media, five senior Hamas leaders were present during the Israeli bombing. These included Khaled Meshaal, Khalil Al-Hayya, Zaher Jabarin, Mohammad Darwish, and Mousa Abu Marzouk.
